The Canon imagePROGRAF PRO-1000 is a A2 printer in the design department computer room. While being pretty slow depending on the settings it can produce very high quality prints (better than Central's plotter) on various paper formats, from 10 × 15 cm to A2.

Printing process

  • Download Canon's Print & Layout software here or here (What's the difference ?). You must be linked to the printer with the USB cable to setup the software.
  • Prepare your files : it must be .jpg RGB color model.
  • Connect to the printer using the USB cable.
  • Insert paper (see the linked manual for size, insertion steps etc.)
  • Follow Print & Layout new users guide

Note that the printer has also been tested without using Print & Layout software and with PDF format, but this need documentation.
